Paparazzi is the most famous music video written and performed by Lady Gaga, a very talented successful music artist of the time released her paparazzi music video in the form of a narrative. She shows a storyline throughout the when she appears being released from jail. Lady Gaga is very clever in knowing music market industry and what market looking for, she has with her very talented producers to produce a video that will attract many people from many backgrounds. I am not big fan of her, but i believe that this music video and the lyrics have build a very positive impact on her repuatation among the singers and in music industry.
In my point of view, the main purpose of producing video in this context is to build realization among the tabloid newspapers, paparazzi and their target audience about the harshness of these aspects famous celebrities have to face due to regular interference in their personal life. The video also shows how lonely and desperate celebrities get for real love, when they feel that there is no one, who really wants to have relation with them. In this video lady Gaga shown as a famous celebrity, hundreds of paparazzi follow her everywhere and most paparazzi tries to attract her with the charisma and honesty to make love for purpose to take advantage of her value to get famous among the people. But the point she is trying to made is that artist are sanative, therefore if somehow someone breaks the trust than it’s a hard thing for artist to recover because even they are try to recover but still there is a print media who doesn’t stop interfering in artists personal life. All this interference leads them into mental disability, music industry is full of these kinds of tragedies, and if we look back Britney Spears is a prime example. Whole world looked her, how quick she got disability after getting famous, and how after getting mentally disabled she shaved her head off.
The paparazzi lady gaga music video clearly gives us an idea of what identification is used in this video. Music videos basically provide us picture of difficulties face by artist to become successful and aftermath getting famous. There are two main characters, lady gaga and a guy who seems to be paparazzi (photographer), but pretending as honest guy who can be trusted by famous lady gaga, but dishonestly shows and he became uncovered. Most of the paparazzi try to take pictures with her to become famous and not only that the can also sell them to make scandal. But she founds out while having fun in balcony that he is playing with her and doing this stunt only for success not for Gaga.
Lady Gaga music video shows various clips of dead women around her house, maybe the clip is presented to show that the paparazzi might have involved in killing of Lady Gaga in Paparazzi. The lady gaga who is looking for honest love become more manipulate with the man over women.
This video shows her boyfriend setting up the paparazzi to catch him pushing her off the balcony. This video could be a warning in the form of music video for people interested in singing and looking for a career. It also shows that anything is possible in the celebrity world and that the media can change what actually is happening within a celebrities life. A section of the video has a lesbian chic mode to it, controversy is what Lady Gaga lives for as she has always got a different story in the press about herself and a shocking story. She creates her very own persona for herself through costume, lyrics & narrative. Lady Gaga lived in New York - fashion capital before becoming a majorly famous recording artist, this has influenced what she wears, making her look 'original' and 'unique'. Her costume changes throughout her video are very extreme (fashion & art have been combined together).
Lady Gaga music video is made specially for escaping audience from normal day boredom life. Target audience of this music video is wide therefore people from all background can escape after listening and watching paparazzi.
I think before this video Lady GaGa use to have specific type of target audience, and her songs commonly use to listen by her own specific fan base. But since the paparazzi is out in market it has increased the fan base of Lady GaGa and the more people are start liking her singing skills and power to give a strong video with lyrics. I never use to listen lady GaGa songs but since I have started doing my A level media work I have started liking her few songs. Therefore I believe that people have liked her song with the video because its entertaining and also have strong message.
