Progress Update

In last few days we had decided that where we will going to film our next scenes and the location which will be suitable for that specific scenes. Other than that i was working on digipak layout and the colour composition.

Representation Of People/ Groups In your Video

Our music video is aimed at teenagers and we know what teenagers love to see in music video in these days, we will create the sex factor and “particularly voyeuristic treatment of the female body” to attract both male and female audience. It’s a bad time for teenagers because most of senior citizens blamed them for last month riots. Other than that our target audience is large which include social demographic of C1 and C2. Locations will similarly have positive impact, we have chosen some great location in and around the London. We will be filming in Brighton beach, in London club and in nice and beautiful field, we will be presenting our teenage actor in a positive way, so than our audience can enjoy the video.

My name is Syed Ali Shah; I joined CBSC in year 9 after moving from other location to here in Carshalton. I started media from GCSE, I worked in various groups and I found it interesting working with other especially for project like filming short film and trailer in AS Level. I know Ashley, Rakulan and Denial since I started my study in this school, but I never worked with them except Rakulan because I worked with him in last AS media project, but this mine first adventure with Ashley and Denial for media project. I am hopeful that we will work as a team.

Progress Update

We have made a significant progress in last few days, Ashley and Daniel are focusing on editing and I have taken the job to produce the digipak and the advert. Or this purpose I have done some research into adverts and CD digipak. In next few days I will be doing more research and than hope fully I will start producing the digipak first and than the digipak.

Michael Jackson- This Is It

Above image is an advert for Michael Jackson last album and advertisement for its digipak, the advert is similar to digipak front side and have similar iconic image and text in bold on upper side of the page. The advert is simple with some text on upper side to remind people about his last tour which he planned before his death and didn’t able to survive to perform, and below that there is an iconic image of Jacksons dance moves which he is well known for in all over the world. The advert clearly represents the genre of his music and gives clear idea to people about this overall album.

Pink Floyd- The Wall

The advert is simple with one large scale image covering whole advert and text in middle with Annie BTN text style “Pink Floyd- The Wall”, the image used in this advert, looks like painted with water paint. It’s an image of man and seems like he in serious pain and he wants to get freedom from where he is now. He seems like he is crying and the colour of his tears are red, which reflect that he is in internal pain and that what is affecting him most. Facial expression shows that he is screaming because the internal pain he has to face in his life. All these aspects of this advert gives clear idea to audience about the album genre and the kind of music Pink Floyd produce.

Digipaks Research

• Guns N Roses Digipak

This digipak is from Pink Floyd second album, digipak clearly represent their Progressive rock, psychedelic rock genre. The front side contain images of all band members in different style, but the noticeable image is where Syd Barnett the main member of Pink Floyd sitting in stool with dark light on his face, this gives clear idea about the music they produced and the songs in this album. The background location with green scenery present the light side of the world and the dark light on his face present dark side of the world, so it also tell that they music lyrics are emotional and heart touching. On left side there is a mirror to give an idea to audience about the main purpose of their music, on lower side there is band name with white colour. The attraction factor in this digipak is great, the people who have heared their music before can have clear image of their reputation is rock music.

The backside of the digipak is filled with the songs listing and the image of band members with rock instruments. The background image seems to have taken somewhere in location where there is lot of natural beauty. These all feature with rock instruments give an idea of them being rock band.

• Michael Jackson Digipak

Michael Jackson is one of world greatest iconic artist figure, after his death in 26^th June 2009 members of his family released his last album “This is it” which he produced before his death for London tour. The digipak of his last album is one of the one of the greatest master piece of digipak produced by his label. The digipak is related to our chosen song “Sun is up” by INNA because it contains some pop and electronic genre songs similar to INNA song. The front side of the digipak is simple with some text on upper side of the digipack to remind people about his last tour which he planned before his death and didn’t able to survive to perform, and below that there is an iconic image of Jackson dance move which he is well known for in all over the world. I believe that this album with beautiful digpak aimed for global target audience because as I mentioned above that he have fans each and every continent even now after his death. By looking at front side of the digipak and the cuttings of images filled in his iconic image will give clear idea to people about what is inside the album, the images inside his iconic image are the best of images his career and the best dance moves he introduced in his professional career. The front side of the digipak is clearly represent the genre of his music and give clear idea to people about this overall package.

The backside of the digipak is filled with the songs listing and the iconic image on the left side filled with same great images and colours. Below that there are some sentences to pay respect and company label “sony entertaint”.
