When the producer of a music video, apply something from other music video, movie( Props, locations, costume, or anything related to other music videos) into his music video is called intertextuality in music video, e.g. "Kanye West’s video also contains a pretty strong intertextual reference as it features Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin singing and playing the piano".

It can be in various forms, sometime producers use reference of other music videos into their project because they feel that by doing that they will have some great ideas for their project and with production of good music video, it will increase the chance to get success in music industry.

Material girl is another music video by Madonna that uses reference to films and their actresses.

We will going to have intertextual reference in our music video. The intertextual reference will be original video of “Sun is up” by INNA, the reason is because the song is sang by her and in her video she had some great special effects and camera shots which will help us coming out with some great ideas to apply in our music video in different style and shape.
